Vanishing Wilderness Series
These small collages are a tribute to the vanishing wildernesses and national parks of the United States. They are a testament to the healing power of nature, a lament for lost places, and a plea for preservation. Each one evokes for me the wonder of seeing wild beauty for the first time.
Wabi-Sabi: The Art of Zen
Wabi-sabi is a worldview as well as an aesthetic that embraces imperfection and finds beauty in the weathered and worn. Wabi expresses impermanence, incompleteness and imperfection. Sabi speaks to the effect that time has on every object. Together they denote "an intuitive appreciation of ephemeral beauty in the physical world that reflects the irreversible flow of life in the spiritual world.” (Andrew Juniper, in Wabi Sabi: The Japanese Art of Impermanence)

Natural Assemblages
The raw beauty of nature is a source of inspiration that never disappoints. These pieces combine natural elements with paper, fabric and clay.
Textile Art
With its emphasis on texture as well as color and form textile art is a tactile as well as visual art. My quilts, wall-hangings and fabric collages bring visual compositions to life in new and exciting ways.
